Our founder, Jose Silva, began life in Laredo, Texas in 1914. At the age
of 4, his father died and, as the oldest male in the household, he began to support his family. By the age of 6,
he was able to provide the financial support for his grandmother and 3 siblings. He never had time to attend school
but was self taught. He helped his siblings with their lessons and thereby learned what they were studying in school.
He went on to become the developer of the family of courses for which he is best known, the Silva Method.
Since 1966, when he taught the first public class in Amarillo, TX, more than 15 Million individuals have benefitted from these
courses.
Welcome to the Atlanta Silva Center web site!
Our Center houses a classroom, a lending library for
our graduates and a reference library for Lecturers and Lecturers-in-Training. The classroom serves as a quiet sanctuary
for graduates to use when classes are not in session. Our reference library has a collection of rare Silva books and
other references that is unique in all of the SilvavVerse. Advanced graduates also can arrange access to our reference
section by special permission.
The Center was founded and its activites are directed by Lucien F. Lamoureux, Jr., an authorized affiliate of Silva International.
Michael Mosley, another CSMI and authorized affiliate of Silva International, assists to keep things going smoothly, teaches
classes and holds workshops in his specialty of Energy Healing. Additional information about Lucien and Michael can
